Strobe used to Nurture Learning Through Colour in Exeter.
Strobe the popular product by Paragon Carpets has been recently installed at the prestigious St Lukes Campus, South Cloisters at University of Exeter. Strobe was used due to its vibrant linear non regular stripe…why?
Recent studies have shown that using colour in the classroom can stimulate a learning response, calm colours such as blues and browns can ensure students settle and reflect. While at the other end of the scale vivid brights, like yellows and tangy oranges can cause a burst of creativity in classrooms stimulating brain activity.
University of Exeter wanted to create a vibrant atmosphere to make learning a fun part of student studies. Strobe Ignite and Flex were used to good effect to create flashes of vivid colour in classrooms and break out areas. As many areas would receive high footfalls of traffic the heavy contract status issued with Strobe would be required for lower maintenance and life cycle costs.
