Fun on Four Floors at Public Health Wales
Form is temporary – class is permanent has long been the mantra of designers around the world but it is rare to see it put into practice and still made fun!
The Public Health Wales centre is a colossal job of over four floors – co-ordinated in design and purpose, every floor uses Paragon Carpets Diversity, Toccarre or Strobe in the design but the varying use of quantities, and style means each floor carries similar characteristics without ever being the same!
The layout is superbly presented teaming glass and steel outer cladding with bright floors and matching high end furniture. The staff working across these floors must feel very privileged to work in a place that has had so much thought placed into design to make them feel comfortable.
The recent trend of zoning is used to great effect here with no visible breaks in space, but a definite use of changes in floor covering and design matched with a change in furniture colours provides the impression that one area id s office space another is team meeting or brain storming space…Greenstream Flooring the project co-ordinators receive a lot of praise here for their creation of a diverse working area.
