Cool Curves at Princess Dock
Matworks has completed an exceptional mix of design meets function at Princess Dock, Liverpool. The once hub of trawlers and wisened traditional occupations is now a high tech modern mix of retail, residential and commercial spaces which still retains much of the traditional dock charm.
It seems fitting then that Matworks have created a perfect blend of modern design and old fashioned functionality for the Princess Dock main commercial entrance.
The job consisting of Aluminium Frameworks 22c with MW Ext & Workspace Entrance Vulcan inserts has been beautifully curved to provide flowing lines of design around the central doorway with a combination of internal and external inserts to provide the best mix of functionality.
Frameworks 22c was chosen as the preferred product which meant that no further screeding works were
required to the existing subfloor. The external half of the revolving door on this job used MW EXT inserts as this was open to the elements, with the internal sections using Workspace Entrance Vulcan for a more textile moisture absorbing approach to stop dirt entering internal soft zones.
