The Beauty of Opera … A Trial in employee well being and breakout design
When software giant Opera needed help to create a new Polish headquarters with a twist – Paragon Carpets were on hand to provide a superb example of employee well being and breakout area design.
The software giant wanted to stimulate it’s workforce to feel comfortable and productive in the working surroundings but the company also needed its clients to walk into meeting rooms and feel like they were about to be part of a software company, different from the rest!
To provide employee well being an integrated design approach was used, we now refer to this as ‘ Design thinking’ the floors, walls and furniture all tie in to not only be purposeful and ergonomic but also seamless in design generating a beautiful but purposeful atmosphere.
The beautiful boardroom / meeting room with binary code integrated across walls and table mixes with the calming tonal Solaris carpet tiles from Paragon Carpets.
In an industry where concentration is key to improve employee well being, separate pods of breakout areas were designed to allow workers to sit in self contained areas more akin to a coffee shop theme.
These areas were beautifully demarcated by creating flooring cut ins in an octagonal design, two Solaris carpet tile colours Charon and Callisto were used to great effect.
