The Solaris Centre in Blackpool experiences significant daily footfall, alongside wheeled traffic, which often includes heavy trolleys for catering and exhibition materials. This constant activity presented a challenge in maintaining a safe, clean, and durable entrance area. Existing matting solutions often faced issues with wear and tear, potential faults, and a tendency to move or slip, creating a safety hazard and requiring frequent replacement. The client sought a robust and reliable entrance matting system that could withstand the demands of a high-traffic environment while offering ease of installation and minimal disruption to their operations.
Mat.Works Entrance Solutions recommended its innovative Treadsure 205 (18mm) entrance matting system as the ideal solution. Treadsure 205 was chosen for its ability to fit into almost any matwell and its inherent durability, a key benefit provided by its product weight. This robust construction ensures that when correctly installed, the matting will remain securely in place, eliminating movement or slipping, even in areas with heavy footfall and wheeled traffic.
To complement the Centre’s aesthetic and provide optimal performance, MW Rib Anthracite inserts were specifically chosen for the Treadsure matting. Anthracite, a dark grey colour, is particularly effective at disguising dirt and debris, ensuring the aesthetic appeal of the entrance lasts longer between cleanings.
A significant advantage of Treadsure 205 at Solaris Centre was its simple installation process, which does not require any clicking or interlocking systems. This feature allowed us to carry out the installation quickly and efficiently, minimizing any disruption to the Solaris Centre‘s daily activities. The straightforward fitting ensured a smooth and rapid transition to the new, enhanced entrance.
The installation of Mat.Works Treadsure 205 at the Solaris Centre has successfully addressed the challenges of a high-traffic entrance. The durable, safe, and easily installed matting system has provided the Solaris Centre with a long-term solution that not only enhances the safety and appearance of their entrance but also demonstrates the effectiveness of choosing the right product and expert installation for high-demand environments. After this successful project, we are carrying out another installation for them.
We received some positive feedback from this project ‘I contacted Matthew from Mat Works as we had a project that needed some entrance matting. The site was right on the sea front and the client wanted something extremely durable. There were existing height issues that we needed to overcome. Matt recommend Mat Works Treadsure 205, the whole process was seamless and easy, from ordering to installation. The client is really pleased with the finished look and we could not recommend Mat works highly enough.’
