Mat.Works Entrance Solutions, a market-leading entrance matting specialist recently supplied its Frameworks 17OP aluminium entrance matting to Merthyr Tydfil’s new bus station, which was opened in Spring 2021.
Constructed by Morgan Sindall, the £11m station, which was funded by the Welsh Government through the County Borough Council builds on the improved infrastructure in the town.
With several new entrances being created, the customer required a heavy-duty aluminium matting solution that would protect the remaining flooring throughout the building. After a site survey and discussing the options available, Frameworks 17OP was recommended and installed across four of the building’s entrance areas.
Overall, 36 square metres of Frameworks 17OP was installed, complete with MW Rib Anthracite inserts. Frameworks 17OP has an open construction, allowing dirt and debris to simply fall into the space, allowing it to be cleaned with ease.
Mat.Works Entrance Solutions worked together with the customer to ensure the right product was used from specification right through to installation, offering specialist support throughout the project.
